The Municipal Affairs concluded a training course for procurement employees

The Department of Municipal Affairs in Abu Dhabi concluded last week the Certified Purchasing Professional Program CPP for technical workers in the procurement field who are working in the municipal system in the three municipalities of Abu Dhabi Emirate; Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality and the Western Region Municipality.
The program was organized by the Training Division in the DMA and over its five days it focused on reinforcing and building the technical capacity of the trainees and improving their performance level as well as the development of their skills when it comes to dealing with the suppliers. Added to that, the program highlighted the methods of preparing procurement plans and negotiating them with the suppliers in order to choose the best.
At the end of the training program, Mansoor Al Mehairi, Acting Manager of the Training division stressed on the importance of the training courses to improve the performance of the employees in their fields which eventually contributes positively to upgrade the services provided to the public in the municipal system.
This program comes within DMA’s efforts to develop its human resources in order to provide them with the needed tools they will do their jobs well and it will create a culture of creative thinking. Al Mehairi added “every employee needs to have a training plan appropriate to his/her career in order to ensure the continuous productivity in a positive creative way”.
What’s worth to mention is that the number of receivers of the training courses carried out by the Training Division in the DMA during the current year reached 450 trainees from various sectors and departments.
