The Municipal System emphasizes on the importance of implementing the electronic system of the Non Objection Certificate

As a step aimed to improve the services offered by the Municipal System to the residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Higher Management Committee of the Municipal System discussed in a meeting held in the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA), a number of Municipal issues concerned directly with the needs of the residents, investors and visitors of the Emirate.
The meeting which was chaired by H.E Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of DMA, with the presence of H.E Engineer, Ahmed Mohamed Al Shareef, the Undersecretary of DMA, H.E Khalifa Al Mazroui General Manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, H.E Dr. Matar Al Nuaimi, General Manager of Al Ain City Municipality, H.E Musabbeh Al Marar, General Manager of the Western Region Municipality, and a number of executive directors and representatives from the municipal system, emphasized on the importance of the tour was carried out by H.H Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser and Vice-Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council (ADEC), to the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City and to follow up to his comments and remarks related to the enhancement of the municipal services provided to the residents of the Emirate.
One of the topics the meeting focused on, was the electronic system of the Non Objection Certificate “NOC” for the facilities and infrastructures in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which completed the study and the plan phase in September 2011 in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) and the Department of Municipal Affairs with the three municipalities of the Emirate. More importantly is that the NOC project has been assigned to the DMA and the three municipalities by the Executive Council by a decree issued in November 2011.
On the other hand, the meeting looked into the latest development regarding a number of new laws and regulations in the municipal system, including the new property law while H.E Al Mansouri emphasized on the need to complete the issuing process of these new laws due to their importance to the public and investors.
H.E. Al Mansouri also directed the PR & Communications offices to unify the image and corporate identity of the Municipal System in order to enhance relations and communications with residents of the Emirate.
The meeting also looked into a detailed report about unifying the strategic planning policies in the municipal system which help to build up a strong and efficient municipal system able to enhance the quality of living in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and enables the Municipal System to achieve our government aspirations to enhance Municipal services to the residents of the Emirate.
The Higher Management Committee of the Municipal System had also looked into a report about cooperation between the Municipal System and the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) on urban planning and the adoption of best policies in this sector. This comes after the Municipal System and the UPC had organized a workshop on urban planning and the adoption of best policies in this sector.
