The Municipal System unifies its strategic policies

Under the patronage of H.E Majed Ali Al Mansouri, the Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) the Municipal System organized a workshop on unifying  the strategic planning System among the DMA and the 3 Municipalities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain City and the Western region.

The workshop attended by the Managing Directors of the strategic planning sector and a number of strategic planning officials in the Municipal System. The workshop was divided into four groups which discussed the strategic planning in different areas including urban development, infrastructure management, service providing, organization Excellence, and the work force.

The workshop focused on how to implement the unification of the strategic issues based on the best practice and taking into consideration the municipal priorities in order to come up with the best performance indicators which help to build up a strong and efficient municipal system able to enhance the quality of living in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

This workshop comes to complement another one organized recently and presented a (SWOT) analysis in the Municipal System in order to come up with best practice to unify the strategic planning in the DMA and the Emirate’s Municipalities and enhance the efficiency of the municipal work in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and to support the government directions toward achieving sustainable development and provide better municipal services to the public, investors and visitors in the Emirate.

It is worth mentioning that these workshops come within a series of events to be organized under the direction of the H.E the Chairman of the DMA in order to unify the strategic planning in the municipal system which leads to more productive municipal work and enables to achieve our government aspirations to enhance services in different sectors to the residents of the Emirate.
