National Bank of Oman Launches Whatsapp Service for Customer Queries

Continuing to open up more channels of communication with its customers, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has added a new WhatsApp service to its expanding digital capabilities. Harnessing the popular and easy-to-use social media app, users will now be able to chat in real time with the bank, and get answers to a wide range of queries including branch and ATM locations, service timings, products and current offers. With a growing number of services and 24/7 accessibility, the new WhatsApp line is the latest of NBO’s pioneering digital services that make banking from home easier than ever before.
Abdul Karim Al Hinai, Deputy General Manager and Head Transformation Group at NBO, said, “At NBO we are always striving to offer seamless digital banking that fits our customers’ evolving needs. Since the COVID-19 pandemic especially, its been more important to offer alternative ways for our customers to reach out that don’t necessitate visiting a branch. Being a preferred communication channel, WhatsApp was a natural next step, and will also serve to reduce the traffic on our call centre as well as resulting in a better customer experience all round.”
