The processing of salaries electronically was made mandatory for all government and private establishments by the Central Bank of Oman in January as part of Oman’s nationwide eGovernment initiative and move towards a digital society, an innovation which NBO was more than ready to accommodate. NBO was among the first local banks to migrate all services to its digital platform, under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labor and Central Bank of Oman, as the bank continues to take great strides towards the priorities set by Oman’s Vision 2040.
