Promoting wellness in and out of the workplace, Oman Arab Bank (OAB) held its first ‘Employee Health Day’ to inspire its staff to adopt healthier lifestyle practices. Organized by the bank’s Social Committee Team at its head office in Al Ghubrah, the event provided attendees with a series of presentations on health conditions and nutrition conducted by specialists from Burjeel Hospital and Nutrilife.

With more than 170 people in attendance, the experts also provided free physical examinations to raise awareness on the importance of regular health maintenance and preventive care. Additionally, the Oman Blood Bank organized a blood donation booth at the event to offer OAB staff the opportunity to support hospital patients in the Sultanate.

Yaqoob Al Anbouri, Head of the Social Committee said, “We believe that workplace wellness extends beyond the office and fosters personal as well as professional growth. From the outset, our approach has been to raise awareness, promote positive health choices, and create supportive environments that allow our team members to thrive. With ‘Employee Health Day’ becoming an integral part of our calendar, we are continuing to nurture a culture of wellness and balance for all.”

Regarded as one of Oman’s employers of choice, OAB’s commitment to its workforce has helped spearhead its growth since inception. Over the last 30 years, OAB has risen to operate more than 65 branches and offices in addition to over 135 ATMs in high footfall locations across the Sultanate.
