OCTAL honors staff dedication and community spirit at Employee Recognition Awards ceremony

OCTAL, the world’s leading clear rigid food packaging material supplier, recently celebrated the accomplishments of its employees by hosting the company’s Employee Recognition Award Program 2014. As part of its ongoing commitment to foster talent and recognize outstanding achievements, the program rewards employees from every department for their long service, excellence in leadership, service excellence, and commitment to building a sense of community through volunteerism. 

“OCTAL’s success has been built on a dedicated and determined workforce that has now grown to over 550 people. Without the continued high performance and care of our employees, we would not have become the global force that we are today,” said Mohammed Al Mashani, OCTAL’s Human Resources Manager. “The new Employee Recognition Award Program celebrates the commitment and outstanding contribution of employees to the company’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives. OCTAL offers personal and professional career guidance and development opportunities so that together we can reach new heights and make an even greater contribution to the economic prosperity of Oman.” 

This year, 154 members of staff have reached five years of service at the company, marking OCTAL’s rapid growth from a regional leader in PET production to a truly global supplier. OCTAL prioritizes the development of its employees and seeks to promote from within to provide career advancement opportunities in technical positions. The company invests in local talent through partnering with local universities and schools to identify candidates by offering work experience and ongoing training to develop Oman’s private sector.
