Only One Oman: Environment Society Of Oman Reminds Us Of Importance Of Supporting Conservation Efforts
World Environment Day
Highlights
On the occasion of World Environment Day on the 5th June, the Environment Society of Oman (ESO) is once again reminding us of the importance of conservation.

On the occasion of World Environment Day on the 5th June, the Environment Society of Oman (ESO) is once again reminding us of the importance of conservation. While the 2022 World Environment Day campaign, #OnlyOneEarth, calls for collective, transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore the planet, ESO is doing its part in this small corner of the world, to encourage action in Oman. The organisation has shared a captivating video that highlights its conservation activities and features stunning images of the country’s rich natural environment, while relaying a more serious message: that unless people continue to help, ESO’s vital work cannot continue.

As Oman’s only non-profit organisation dedicated to environmental conservation, ESO has, for the last 18 years, played a pivotal role in preserving its unique and diverse environment. As well as spearheading several scientific research programmes and conservation campaigns supporting endangered species in Oman, ESO continues to publish countless awareness materials and host educational competitions, capacity building programmes, workshops and community activities. As ESO continues to face the many challenges of environmental conservation, it is dependent on the generosity of the public. Every donation, large or small, makes a difference in ensuring that the wonders of Oman’s nature can continue to be enjoyed by future generations.

Donations can be made through the website, eso.org.om, or via mobile apps including Oman Arab Bank, Bank Dhofar, Talabat, TM Done, and Omantel. Or, Omantel subscribers can donate OMR 1 per month, by simply sending ‘Donate’ via SMS to 90108.
