Ooredoo Business Concludes Cross-Sector Executive AI Workshop Week

Ooredoo Business has successfully concluded a five-day Executive AI Workshop Week,      bringing together senior executives and decision-makers from key sectors      to explore the strategic implementation of enterprise AI adoption.

As the first initiative of its kind delivered by Ooredoo Business, the Executive AI Workshop Week dedicated five consecutive days to sector-specific executive learning. Each day was tailored to the opportunities, challenges, and AI use cases of a different sector, welcoming leaders from the telecommunications, financial services, government, education, oil and gas, and industrial sectors for strategic discussions on using AI to drive innovation, productivity, and sustainable growth.

The programme moved beyond AI awareness to equip executives with practical frameworks for integrating AI into business strategy, operational excellence, and digital transformation. Through interactive sessions, real-world case studies, and sector-focused discussions, participants examined how AI can create measurable business value while preparing their organisations for what comes next.

The Executive AI Workshop Week forms part of the Ooredoo AI & Data Academy, Ooredoo Business's flagship AI education and workforce development platform. Developed in collaboration with HCLTech, the Academy delivers AI and data learning programmes across multiple segments: executive leaders and enterprises, through strategic AI enablement; universities, by preparing students with industry-relevant AI and data skills; and schools, from Grades 6 to 11, building future-ready digital competencies and AI literacy from an early stage

Spanning school students, university learners, working professionals, and executive leadership, the Ooredoo AI & Data Academy is helping build a sustainable AI talent ecosystem that supports Oman Vision 2040 and the nation's digital transformation.

Saied Al-Lawati, Chief Business & Wholesale Officer at Ooredoo, said: “AI leadership is no longer about understanding the technology—it is about turning it into measurable business and national value. Across five days, we brought together leaders from six critical sectors with one shared ambition: to move from AI awareness to strategic implementation. Our objective was to equip leaders with practical frameworks they can take back to their organizations and translate into action. When telecommunications, financial services, government, education, oil & gas, and industry advance together, we accelerate not only individual organizations, but Oman’s entire AI ecosystem. Through the Ooredoo Business AI & Data Academy, we are committed to building the leadership capabilities that will turn AI ambition into impact and contribute to the ambitions of Oman Vision 2040”.

Building on the week, Ooredoo Business will continue expanding the Ooredoo AI & Data Academy with further executive programmes, academic partnerships, and sector-focused learning initiatives, deepening AI adoption and talent development across the Sultanate.
