Orange Jordan Highlights Female Entrepreneur Success Stories through Its Sponsorship of the "SHERO” Conference

Orange Jordan announced its sponsorship of the "SHERO" Conference in support of women leaders. The event was organized by the Dart Entrepreneurial Club, the branch of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship at Princess Sumaya University for Technology. The conference aimed to highlight the contributions of women leaders and change-makers, celebrating the voices of Jordanian women who break barriers and make a tangible impact across various sectors.

Orange Jordan expressed its strong belief in the importance of empowering and supporting women, noting that the conference aligns with the company’s vision and community initiatives, particularly the programs of the Orange Digital Center. The company also continues to enhance female representation within its workforce, with external female hires increasing by 36% in 2023. Women now constitute 27% of the total employees, with 25% of them holding leadership positions within the company.

The startup iRole, winner of the global edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) in the “International Women’s Prize” category, participated in the panel discussion titled “From Passion to Business – The Next SHEROs.” During the session, the startup shared its journey and key achievements, emphasizing the role of BIG by Orange of the Orange Digital Center in Zarqa, in supporting and incubating its project.

It is worth noting that the conference served as a dynamic platform for dialogue and inspiration, featuring panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities for female entrepreneurs.
