Oryx Rotana participates in Sealine beach clean-up programme

Oryx Rotana, the five star luxury business hotel in Doha recently participated in the Sealine beach clean-up campaign. This activity was part of Qatar Tourism Agency’s (QTA) ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability. Several hotels from the state of Qatar participated in this initiative, as part of their CSR activities, thereby demonstrating their on-going commitment to the society.
More than 20 volunteers from Oryx Rotana Doha helped in cleaning the beach by collecting dozens of plastic bags and waste, thereby helping to keep the coastline clean. This gesture reflected the keenness of the hospitality sector to protect the environment and support tourism.
Lana Jwainat, Cluster Director of Marketing and Communications at Oryx Rotana and Rotana City Center while commenting on this initiative said, “The clean-up campaign is an excellent opportunity to reinforce Oryx Rotana’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Being one the most appealing destinations in the country, the Sealine beach attracts a good number of tourists throughout the year, particularly in the winter season, as the weather is pleasant. Our participation in such activities falls under our CSR programmes and reflects our keenness on preserving & maintaining one of the most important tourist destinations in Qatar.”
