OSN, region’s home of cricket, launches search for ‘UAE’s Fastest Bowler’

OSN, the region’s leading pay-TV network, and the undisputed ‘home of cricket,’ has launched a nation-wide search for the UAE’s Fastest Bowler called the ‘OSN Cricket Mania – Speed Challenge’. 

Held in collaboration with the International Cricket Council Academy (ICCA), OSN, the ‘Official Sponsor’ of the UAE National Cricket Teams, is opening the pitch to cricket-lovers across the country, for a chance to be trained professionally by ICC Academy Cricket Coaches. 

The ‘OSN Cricket Mania – Speed Challenge,’ marking its inaugural presence in the country, will feature a custom-made wicket at Ibn Batutta Mall, where aspiring cricketers can test their dexterity on March 14, 15, 28 and 29, from 3pm to 10pm. 

Boasting state-of-the-art equipment from the ICC Academy, interested participants can try out the special challenge in three categories: Under 13, Under 18, and Over 18.

To participate, cricket fans can register at the OSN stand at Ibn Batutta Mall. From all participants, six winners with the fastest bowling speed will be chosen to receive - professional and personalised coaching from the esteemed ICC Academy. 

The ‘OSN Cricket Mania-Speed Challenge’ initiative follows OSN’s recent announcement as the ‘Official Sponsor’ of the UAE’s National Cricket Teams, who have just qualified for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup.
