A Packed Calendar and Family-friendly Diwali Celebrations at Rixos Bab Al Bahr

Rixos Bab Al Bahr, the ultra-all-inclusive resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, invites families and little ones to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, at the resort. An exciting programme of themed activities will be hosted at Rixy Kids Club, where kids will enjoy a busy schedule of interactive and creative activities designed to celebrate culture, art, and festivity.

Diya Painting: Diyas are small lamps lit during Diwali for worship and decoration. Bound to bring a lot of excitement, kids can experiment with various materials, such as stones, beads, paint, and glitter, allowing them to express their creativity and craft a unique design.
Diwali Card Making: A lovely way to share warm wishes with loved ones, kids can decorate their own Diwali cards, making it a thoughtful gesture and way to share festive cheer with their parents, family, and friends.

Bead Jewellery Making: A popular accessory during Diwali and a fantastic form of self-expression, kids can craft their own bead jewellery for themselves, their mothers, or friends. All materials are supplied.

Henna Art: Fostering creativity and a deeper connection to the festival, kids can get their hands painted by henna artists using washable, kid-safe inks.
Bollywood Dance Session: Diwali celebrations are not complete without a Bollywood dance session. Led by a dance instructor, kids will learn new dance moves while having fun with other kids.

Diwali Glow Face Painting: A fun and creative moment, kids can decorate themselves with glow-in-the-dark face painting that captures the spirit of the festival. Not only does this add to the lively atmosphere, but it also offers a wonderful way for kids to express themselves and celebrate in their own unique style.

Rangoli Art: A traditional Indian folk-art form where intricate patterns are created on the ground using colourful powders, sand, or flower petals to symbolise joy, prosperity, and good fortune. This will be a perfect day for kids to showcase the skills passed down by their mothers, as they can create their own Rangoli designs to take home.

All activities will be led by adult professionals from Rixy Kids Club. A night at Rixos Bab Al Bahr will allow kids to explore traditional Indian culture and arts while celebrating Diwali, filled with colour, creativity, and festivity.

Nestled along the peaceful stretch of the Arabian Gulf, Rixos Bab Al Bahr features striking pyramid-style architecture, complemented by stylish rooms and suites that offer guests an all-inclusive stay blending elegance with comfort. The resort has 13 different restaurants and bars, eight swimming pools - including a dedicated kids’ pool, a kids and teens’ club, fitness amenities, and water sports, ensuring a holiday experience that suits every traveller’s preference.
