Park Rotana, Abu Dhabi Chefs win awards at Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire 2017
The talented chefs at Park Rotana showcased their impressive skills in various competitions and won distinctive medals at the prestigious Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire held recently during the Gulfood exhibition.
Amidst the tough competition amongst the top chefs and kitchen artists in the region, Park Rotana Kitchen Artist Henry Delara dominated the Vegetable and Ice Carving categories and won the gold medals for both. Chef Ashraful Alam took the silver medal in the Australian Beef Practical Cookery category whilst Chef Chaminda Bandara received the bronze medal in the same group. Female chef Arlene Catalan impressed the judges in the Sustainable Fish and Seafood Practical Cookery and went away with a bronze medal.
Commenting on the distinction received by his team, Park Rotana Executive Chef Thijs Van Rhoon remarked, “As always, it has been a fantastic experience to be part of the Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire and have our chefs present their talent in the competition. We are extremely proud of their achievements and we certainly look forward to competing again next year and winning more awards.”
