Students from secondary schools across Qatar recently attended a ‘Training on Project Presentation, Safety & Security Management’ workshop ahead of the upcoming Qatar Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math Fair (Qatar STEAM).

Qatar STEAM, an educational event organised by Qatar Foundation Research & Development (QF R&D), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), is set to take place from 8th to 10th March 2016 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

The event aims to facilitate an environment in which the nation’s young scientists can thrive through first-hand experience of research. This aligns with QF’s endeavour to develop the attitudes and skills necessary to build a knowledge-based economy, bringing world-class education and career opportunities to Qatar.

Conducted in both English and Arabic, the workshop was held to ensure participants are familiar with the competition guidelines and to assist students with the final preparation of their research projects.

A total of 200 participants, 65 per cent of which are Qataris, will compete in the Fair, presenting research projects on a scientific category of their choice.
