Leading premium tyre manufacturer, Pirelli, is celebrating the increasing popularity of the Padel tennis in the UAE with the launch of Pirelli Padel Tournament – the biggest of its kind in the UAE.

Leading premium tyre manufacturer, Pirelli, is celebrating the increasing popularity of the Padel tennis in the UAE with the launch of Pirelli Padel Tournament – the biggest of its kind in the UAE. Taking place until 22 May 2021, the Tournament will see the participation of over 100 padel athletes from the local talent pool who will show off their skills and compete to win the title. Alejandro Galán, an exemplary player who has been the recipient of over 10 titles in the last two Padel tournament seasons and ranked number one by the World Padel Tour rankings, will be the guest of honour at the tournament.

Held at Sharjah’s major Padel clubs - Padel Arena and Football Padel Area (FPA), the tournament will host 42 qualifying games in the first three days, followed by an action-packed weekend featuring the Semi-Finals and the Final game. The event will also include various other activities engaging Galán, including exclusive Padel clinics with local athletes and Pirelli VIP customers, and a special exhibition match starring Galán alongside three of the finalist athletes.

Pirelli is trailblasing the new Padel-fever in the Middle East region by sponsoring this exciting new tournament in the UAE. The exciting slate of events spearheaded by Pirelli will span between 17th to 22nd May, with the quarter finals being held on 21st May from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and the semi-finals and finals on the 22nd from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, respectively. The exclusive Padel clinics with Alejandro Galán will be held on the 20th of May from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and also on 22nd of May from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
