Ramada Ajman observes Earth Hour 2013

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, a premier destination for business and leisure travellers, joined the rest of the world in supporting Earth Hour 2013 on 23^rd March by switching off the lights in the property for one hour.   

In support of Wyndham Green program, Ramada Ajman joined millions of supporters across different countries in reinforcing its commitment to energy conservation, protection of natural resources and fight against climate change. The participation signifies Wyndham’s collective efforts in establishing sustainable actions that can create positive impact for the planet.  

Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager, Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, commented: “Our team have always been involved in various green initiatives, on both local and international scale. Our participation in Earth Hour was a great opportunity to raise awareness on global climate change and sustainability issue. And while turning off lights can be a challenge for a busy hotel with hundreds of guests, we believe the hospitality industry can and should be a leader in reducing our impact on the environment.”   

The guests of the property eagerly supported the cause by carrying out their usual tasks with switched off lights and enjoying their dinner in R Café and Orchid Restaurant via candlelight. 

Organized by the World Wildlife Fund, Earth Hour has grown into a global movement with over 5 million supporters in over 100 countries since its start in Australia in 2007.
