“Fashion with Passion” in Ramada Ajman benefits Ajman Club for Handicapped

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, a premier destination for business and leisure travellers, hosted a successful and well-attended fashion show and gala dinner dubbed as “Fashion with Passion” for the benefit of Ajman Club for Handicapped at the property’s Majestic Ballroom.

During the event, Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager, Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, handed over a check worth AED50,000 to Dr. Marwan Majeed Ibrahim, Head of Ajman Club for Handicapped. The donation was generated through company sponsorships and individual contributions.

The fashion show presented creations including traditional clothing lines such as kandora and jalabiya by designer Hoorin Mumtaz. Three children from the club who have mental disabilities got a chance to hit the catwalk along with professional models during the fashion show. Other highlights of the event include the presentation by the weightlifters of the club, and a special song number by Mirchu, handicapped boy.

Addressing the guest and supporters of the fundraising activity, Hamdani said: “On behalf of the entire property, I would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the sponsors and attendees of this successful fashion show. Your contribution and assistance will greatly help Ajman Club for Handicapped and we hope that we can organise more activities such as this in the future.”

Dr. Ibrahim also commented: “We are thankful to Ramada Ajman and everyone who took part in this event. These funds will provide significant contribution to our organization. In addition, the experience gained by our members provided them unparalleled joy and confidence, which will be beneficial in enhancing their self-esteem. This is one event they will surely cherish and remember forever!”

Hoorin Mumtaz, Fashion Designer, said: “I am very glad that I am able to contribute to this noble cause through my designs. The children of Ajman Club for Handicapped did a great job and this experience is very rewarding for me.”

The event was attended by top officials in Ajman including HH Sheikh Ali Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi of AjmanLand and Property Department; Hamad Al Shamsi of Ajman Executive Council; Faisal Al Nuami, General Manager of Ajman Tourism Development Authority; and Bani Haddad, Regional Vice-President of Wyndham Hotel Group.
