Samsung Continues Spearheading the TV Sector in Egypt With Over 37 Percent Market Share
Samsung Electronics Egypt revealed today the increase of its local TV market share to over 37% in April 2018, compared to 30% as of January 2018. The recent pick-up in Samsung’s local sales comes as a result of the company’s relentless efforts to offer the most cutting edge technologies to users in the Egyptian market. With its Egypt factory manufacturing the TV sets locally, Samsung is not only providing end users with an exceptional viewing experience, but is also transferring the essential know-how to its local team members.
“Being the top TV manufacturer in terms of market share locally is a true testament to our success in providing users with TV sets that not only meet their needs, but exceed their expectations,” said Eng. Kassem Hassan, Head of the TV Department at Samsung Electronics Egypt. “Our 2018 lineup of televisions are truly our most innovative and sophisticated yet. I’m also personally very proud of the fact that these state-of-the-art sets are being manufactured locally, and exported to the world through Samsung’s factory in Egypt.”
Inaugurated in 2013, Samsung factory in Bani Suef is its first once across the Middle East and Africa. With total investments of $270 million, the factory’s production capacity reaches up to 6 million units annually. The factory manufactures different unit sizes and models, with the recent addition to its portfolio being the 4K 75” model.
Samsung’s factory exports 80-85% of its production, with the main export markets include 36 countries across the Middle East and Africa.
