Sony, the leading consumer electronics brand, today announced the launch of two new portable USB chargers, CP-A2LS and CP-ELS, which come with a set of pre-charged, ready-to-use rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Offering a high power reserve, the convenient support devices allow the busiest handheld electronic device users to have a day-long supply.

The 145gm light-weight CP-A2LS possesses a high battery capacity of 4,000mAh while the compact 87gm CP-ELS comes with 2,000mAh backup, making it possible for both chargers to instantly power any USB chargeable portable device including smartphones, digital cameras, camcorders, gaming devices and even music players.

The CP-A2LS comes with dual USB output ports that allow users to charge up to two devices at the same time. The CP-ELS has the capacity for high USB output, reaching a maximum of 5V, 1.0A. The built-in USB authentication software in the CP-A2LS ensures compatibility with most USB devices while its four LED indicator lights display the charger’s remaining battery capacity. For a quick recharge, the gadget needs to be plugged into the detachable AC input module. On the other hand, the CP-ELS only requires access to a computer’s USB port for recharging.

A micro-USB cable for smartphones is also included with both chargers for added convenience. The models will be available at all leading electronic stores in the UAE from early November 2011.
