Spotlight on Tamkeen programmes at MP Mohammed Al Ammadi’s Majlis

As part of its ongoing efforts to support and develop Bahrainis and directly engage with its target audiences, Tamkeen recently held an open meeting attended by more than 50 people in MP Mohammed Al Ammadi’s weekly majlis in Hamad Town to shed light on the various Tamkeen programmes available to Bahrainis and enterprises within the private sector.
Leading the meeting, Mr. Yousif Ali, Customer Engagement & Support Senior Manager at Tamkeen, delivered a presentation on the available programmes such as Career Progression, Talent Management, Enterprise Development Support, among other programmes. The presentation was then followed by an open Q&A session.
There are currently nearly 180 programmes available through Tamkeen which enhance the capabilities of Bahrainis and improve the productivity of enterprises. 15 human capital development and 5 enterprises support initiatives are slated for launch in the current year 2012.

Tamkeen is a public authority established in August 2006, tasked with supporting Bahrain’s private sector and positioning it as the key driver of economic growth and development. Tamkeen is one of the cornerstones of Bahrain’s national reform initiatives and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
Tamkeen has two primary objectives - firstly, foster the development and growth of enterprises, and second provide support to enhance the productivity and training of the national workforce. To achieve these objectives -Tamkeen’s 2018-2020 strategy focuses on Diversifying offerings, Accelerate delivery and Sustaining Impact.
