Top Things to Do on the Opening Day of Dubai Shopping Festival
Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), Dubai’s annual citywide shopping festival will return on 26 December until 2 February, bringing tourists and residents five weeks of unbeatable sales, incredible shopping experiences and family entertainment.
To mark the occasion, organisers Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai Tourism, has highlighted the best things to do on the opening day of DSF. From super sales to classical concerts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
- Get to the shops early: DSF will kick off in style with savings of up to 75 per cent on 700 brands and over 3,200 participating outlets across the city - get to the malls early to grab the best bargains with sales starting from 10am.
- Shop ‘til you drop: Enjoy even more savings with a huge 12-hour sale across Majid Al Futtaim malls giving customers further discounts ranging between 25 to 90 per cent off from 12pm to 12am on 26 December. Starting at midday and running through to midnight, brands in fashion, beauty, homeware and lifestyle will be on offer at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira, City Centre Me‘aisem, My City Centre Al Barsha and City Centre Al Shindagha.
- Drive away with an INFINITI QX50: Be in with a chance to win a daily prize of an INFINITI QX50 plus AED 150,000 daily in mega raffles. To enter the INFINITI mega raffle draw, customers need to purchase a raffle ticket for AED 200.
- Watch mesmerising fireworks: To celebrate the launch of DSF, a host of lifestyle destinations will put on spectacular fireworks displays across various locations including Al Seef at 8.30pm, La Mer at 9.00pm and The Beach opposite JBR at 8.00pm every Thursday and Friday. - Watch a piano recital: Classical music-lovers can enjoy a piano recital by highly esteemed Russian-Swiss pianist Konstantin Scherbakov in the Royal Ballroom at The One and Only Royal Mirage. Performing on 26 December at 8pm, Scherbakov will play pieces by Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin.
- Shop, play and win: Everyone is invited to shop, play and win this DSF at City Centre Mirdif. Between 26 December and 30 January, shoppers will get the chance to win instant prizes depending on how much they spend in shops across the mall. A Spend and Win promotion will also launch at City Centre Deira to kick off unbeatable discounts from over 370 stores and give shoppers the chance to win a 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser and instant prizes.
- Learn about the history of Dubai Creek: Residents will be able to soak up the history of Dubai Creek this festival with the Al Seef Heritage Souq, a brand new activation at the Al Seef shopping district. Featuring education programmes, entertainment, a shopping market and rewarding ways to win, there will be lots of exciting activity happening throughout.
- Get a taste of Miami: Enjoy that laid-back feeling at the Miami Vibes pop-up food carnival, running until 31 December at City Walk. Featuring unique dining concepts and vibrant, Insagrammable décor, this is the ultimate cool hangout.
