UAE Space Agency Achieves Great Place to Work® Certification for the First Time Since Its Inception

The UAE Space Agency has been certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ (GPTW) for 2026. This recognition demonstrates the Agency’s pioneering efforts to provide a work environment built on trust, the empowerment of local talent, and the promotion of innovation and knowledge. This marks a new achievement added to the Agency’s record of institutional success.

His Excellency Salem Butti Al Qubaisi, Director-General of UAE Space Agency, said: “Since its establishment, the UAE Space Agency has been committed to providing a work environment that encourages employees to take initiative and be creative. It also enables them to actively contribute to ambitious space projects. This fosters a spirit of teamwork and allows employees to feel a sense of pride and belonging to the Agency. Receiving the ‘Great Place to Work’ certification this year confirms our success in building a work environment that motivates and empowers local talent.”

Al Qubaisi added: “This recognition reflects our commitment to developing innovative talent management policies, promoting continuous learning, initiative, and flexibility, and empowering employees to face challenges.”

The UAE Space Agency successfully met the approved requirements and evaluation standards to obtain the GPTW certification, which is conducted through a unified survey in which employees participate to assess their workplace experience. The evaluation criteria included: the level of trust between employees and management, fairness in treatment, leadership effectiveness, respect for workplace values, employees’ sense of pride and belonging, collaboration among colleagues, as well as the organisation’s ability to provide an inclusive work environment that encourages growth, learning, and professional development.

The GPTW certification further strengthens the UAE Space Agency’s record of institutional excellence, following its previous receipt of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Ethics Kitemark for the third consecutive year, making it the world’s first space agency to receive this international honour. These awards reflect the Agency’s commitment to the highest standards of integrity and transparency, and to developing a sustainable institutional work environment that supports local talent and achieves excellence in organisational performance.
