The University of Technology and Applied Sciences and Ooredoo Strengthen Strategic Public-Private Partnership

His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. Saeed Hamed Al Rubaie, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), recently visited the headquarters of Ooredoo to further strengthen the public-private partnership between the two entities. During the visit, H.E. Dr. Al Rubaie met with Bassam Al Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo, other senior management officials, and Ooredoo team members. Both parties discussed opportunities for the higher education sector in Oman. They also explored ways Ooredoo can strategically and sustainably support the sector's development to ensure its continued success.
H.E. Dr. Al Rubaie and his delegation were given insights into Ooredoo’s operations. At the same time, His Excellency underlined the importance of strengthening the cooperation between UTAS and Ooredoo through advanced educational programmes and innovative technological solutions. Both sides also discussed topics in the sphere of providing advanced communications solutions and Internet services to UTAS students and faculty members. This public-private partnership will not only benefit higher education but also Oman’s technology sector.
