VMware Showcases How Cloud Enables Middle East Digital Transformation at Gitex Technology Week 2017

VMware announced today that it is participating at GITEX Technology Week 2017 in Dubai, where it is showcasing the latest innovations in security, data center modernization, and digital workspaces to enable Middle East digital transformation.

GITEX Technology Week 2017 is being held from 8-12 October 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. To experience VMware’s hands-on digital demos -- in coordination with partners Aptec, Redington, and Starlink -- visit the VMware stand in Hall 6.

VMware is also showcasing the latest solutions across fields such as multi-cloud management, cyber-security, data center modernization and hyper-converged infrastructure, Internet of Things, enterprise mobility, and software-defined networking and virtualization. Exchanging best practices with CIOs, VMware will host an Executive Breakfast under the theme of “Realize What’s Possible”.

Showing the strong demand in cloud technology as the foundation for digital transformation, public cloud spending in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa region is set to top USD 715 million in 2017, up 37 percent from 2015, according to a recent report by research firm IDC.

Demonstrating the benefits of digital transformation, around half of businesses in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region that successfully deploy digital workspaces improve revenue streams and management costs, according to the recent VMware State of the Digital Workspace report.
