Warba Bank Sponsors Kuwait University Cultural Festival

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting local academic institutions and fostering cultural dialogue within the society, Warba Bank announced its sponsorship of the cultural and entertainment festival organized by Kuwait University on campus.

The event brought together students and faculty members and is attended by Their Excellencies the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, along with a number of ambassadors accredited to the State of Kuwait. The presence of Warba Bank’s Chief Executive Officer further confirms the importance the Bank places on this strategic partnership.

This sponsorship reaffirms Warba Bank’s pivotal role in supporting initiatives that enrich the cultural and academic landscape, while providing a platform for constructive engagement between young generations and the country’s intellectual and diplomatic leaders. The festival stands out as a unique gathering that blends purposeful entertainment with cultural exchange, contributing to broadening students’ perspectives and strengthening their sense of belonging to both their academic community and the nation.

On this occasion, Mr. Shaheen Hamad Al-Ghanem, Chief Executive Officer of Warba Bank, stated: “Our sponsorship of the Kuwait University Cultural Festival reflects our deep pride in this distinguished national academic institution, which represents a beacon of knowledge and learning in the State of Kuwait. At Warba Bank, we firmly believe that supporting academic institutions is an integral part of our social responsibility and a direct investment in the minds that will lead our nation into the future.”

Al-Ghanem added: “Our presence, alongside Their Excellencies the ambassadors, sends a clear message that we are committed partners in building bridges between the private sector and the academic and diplomatic communities. We do not view this sponsorship as mere support for an event, but rather as an opportunity to promote cultural dialogue and reaffirm that our role extends beyond banking services to include meaningful contributions to the intellectual and cultural development of society. Kuwait University is a cornerstone in shaping future leaders and thinkers, and our support is, ultimately, support for Kuwait’s future.”

On the same occasion, Dr. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem, President of Kuwait University, extended her highest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah - may God protect him - to His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah - may God protect him - and to the people of Kuwait, on the occasion of the 65th National Day and the 35th Liberation Day anniversaries. She noted that national celebrations embody deeply rooted values of patriotism and reflect Kuwait University’s pioneering role - as the country’s oldest academic institution, in supporting national development through preparing national talent and fostering an environment that encourages innovation and excellence. She also expressed her appreciation to all supporting and participating entities in this national celebration.

The festival provided students with an opportunity to engage, interact and participate in a variety of activities. Warba Bank’s presence at this academic gathering reflects its commitment to building sustainable relationships with leading educational institutions in Kuwait and its continued support for cultural and social initiatives that contribute to the development of a knowledge-based society and reinforce Kuwait’s position as a regional cultural and intellectual hub.

Warba Bank continues to invest in numerous initiatives and programs aimed at empowering youth.
