ALBAWABA - Justin Bieber could join FIFA World Cup final halftime show lineup.

The FIFA World Cup final is apparently trying to add another chart-topping musical star to their already impressive halftime act list.

Madonna, Shakira, and K-pop group BTS were named in May as the headliners for the final game's debut halftime show on July 19 at the New York-New Jersey Stadium.

Coldplay's Chris Martin, who curated the historic event, revealed the headliners in a social media video starring characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.

Madonna and Shakira are no strangers to large halftime shows; the former headlined the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show, while the latter co-headlined the 2020 version with Jennifer Lopez.

Shakira, a four-time World Cup performer, joined Burna Boy for a spectacular performance during the 2026 opening ceremony in Mexico City.

TMZ now reports that Justin Bieber is in active talks to join the lineup.

The 32-year-old "Forever" singer and his wife, Hailey, recently attended the World Cup opening ceremony on June 12 at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium. He was even caught doing a secret concert for VIP visitors, which included songs from his 2025 Swag album, including "Yukon."

Justin Bieber's presence comes months after he resumed live concerts after a four-year break to focus on his health. In April, he delivered a polarizing, stripped-down Coachella show, looping through some of his earlier classics, including "Baby," "Never Say Never," and "Beauty and the Beat."

During his performance, he was joined by musical guests such as The Kid Laroi, Wizkid, Tems, and Dijon.

Justin Bieber had a similar acoustic set at the Grammy Awards in February, but Coachella was his first solo performance in front of a large audience since 2022. That year, the musician canceled the remainder of his Justice World Tour dates due to "full paralysis" on the right side of his face caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

The extraordinary World Cup extravaganza could cause the final's halftime interlude to last longer than the usual 15 minutes. The event will benefit the FIFA Global Citizen School Fund, an effort aimed at raising $100 million to improve children's access to school and football around the world.

Last summer, FIFA held a halftime show in the New York-New Jersey Stadium during the Club World Cup final, which Chelsea won 3-0 over Paris St. Germain.
