Works Commence on New Mosque in Diyar Al Muharraq’s Deerat Al Oyoun

Diyar Al Muharraq, Bahrain’s largest real estate developer, has commenced construction works on a new mosque located in the West of Deerat Al Oyoun, through the generous donation of Mr. Mohamed Al Mannai. With designs reflecting authentic Arab-Islamic architecture, works on the project began in November with an expected opening date in the first quarter of 2026.
The mosque will cover a construction area of approximately 1,200 sqm, accommodating more than 620 worshippers alongside a dedicated women’s prayer hall for over 80 individuals. Through the launch of the mosque, Diyar Al Muharraq aims serve more than 2,100 housing units in Deerat Al Oyoun and its surrounding neighborhoods. The project ensures that residents and visitors have facilitated access to mosques while observing religious practices.
Commenting on the occasion, Eng. Ahmed Ali Alammadi, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, said: “We strive to develop key projects, including places of worship, as part of our efforts to instill religious values that remain at the core of our identity and enable us to connect with members of our community. Diyar Al Muharraq has appointed TMAM Contracting to complete all contracting works, in addition to Arab Architects for design services and Horizon Interiors to oversee interior design works.
