Yas Heat Racing Academy Finishes Debut Season on Podium in an Incredible Yas Racing Series Weekend in Abu Dhabi

In a race weekend packed with incredible action on track, Yas Racing Series saw the home team from the Yas Heat Racing Academy finish on the podium in the final race of the Formula 4 UAE season, with Keanu Al Azhari’s third place finish at Yas Marina Circuit
concluding a successful debut campaign for the Academy.
Al Azhari followed on from his second-place finish in Dubai to finish the season on the podium at Yas Marina Circuit and capture third place in the rookie standings, closing out a strong showing for the team on home soil.
Commenting on the race, Al Azhari said: “It was amazing, we’ve been working for this all season. A lot of progress was made through all the rounds, and we’re starting to fight with the top teams. We put together some great results, we all work so great together.”

The result also left the young driver in third place in the F4 UAE rookie standings in a promising start to the 15-year-old’s career. Joining Al Azhari in the top 10 was teammate and Emirati star, Hamda Al Qubaisi, who secured a seventh-place finish, with Matteo Quintarelli finishing in P22 at Yas Marina Circuit. James Wharton of Mumbai Falcons Racing secured the F4 UAE championship, followed by rookie teammate, Tuukka Taponen in the final standings.

The February edition of the Yas Racing Series also featured the final rounds of the Asian Le Mans Series. LMP 2 champion DKR Engineering and winners of the LMP 3 category, Graff Racing secured its coveted slot on the grid at the 100th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, after a thrilling final week of racing in Abu Dhabi.
The winners of the LMP 2 and LMP 3 categories will be joined by Walkenhorst Motorsport, which held onto the top spot in the GT championship despite back-to-back victories from title revival, Haupt Racing Team in a dramatic showdown on Yas Island.
The final round of the inaugural Formula Regional Middle East Championship saw Andrew Kimi Antonelli capture the title in his rookie Formula Regional season. The Mumbai Falcons driver secured the championship with a second-place finish in the final race of the season, finishing ahead of PHM’s Taylor Barnard in the final standings.
This year’s Yas Racing Series will continue with the fourth and final round in March, featuring local favourite competitions including UAE ProCar, Gulf Radical Cup, and UAE Time Attack, and a range of high-powered sports cars speeding around Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
