ALBAWABA - Private investigator at Dealabs Magazine and Social media user billbil-kun who usually posts news related to gaming and tech recently took to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and leaked what could be Sony's next PS5 pro.

The individual in question shared an illustration of the PS5 Pro and confirmed that Sony will be going with the name "PlayStation 5 Pro" as previous predecessors.

Looking into the leaked design, the console which might be announced in Sep. 2024 doesn't seem to incorporate a disc drive causing mixed reactions from PlayStation users as many gamers like their media physically owned rather than digitally.

Take in mind that Sony might implement what they did with the new PS5 design where people can buy the disc drive separately for a hefty $79.

Moreover, according to billbil-kun, PS5's same Duel Sense controller will be shipped with the pro edition of the console which proved to be an excellent controller other than its horrendous battery life. "If it's not broken... don't fix it."

Users took to posts made on X to discuss the matter in question with most opposing the idea of Sony not incorporating a disc drive into the PS5 Pro. Here's what some had to say:

"Better have a disc drive. I only buy games physically for console."

"Oof. If there’s no drive I might pass."

"A digital-only PS5 Pro would be bad honestly. Imagine paying more than the base console and you will still have to purchase a disc-drive separately. Come on Sony."
