Qatar Airways flight diverted to Cairo

Qatar Airways flight QR553 heading from Casablanca to Doha, diverted to Cairo on the morning of April 17 after a passenger-disturbance incident took place on board the aircraft.  

 

The Doha bound flight, carrying 92 passengers, was grounded in Cairo for approximately an hour and a half during which time the disturbed passenger was off-loaded for questioning by Egyptian Authorities.  

 

The passenger, a Kuwaiti national, has been identified as 30-year old Hmoud Al-Dabous. Dabous was accompanied by a friend who did not partake in the incident. The Qatar Airways flight continued its journey to Doha and landed safely and without incident at Doha International Airport. — (menareport.com)
