The state of Qatar received 2.7 billion Emirati Dirhams ($735 million) worth of export and re-export goods from Dubai in 2001, of which Dh 829 million were sent via the Jebel Ali free zone, reported the official WAM news agency.
Qatar’s 2001 export levels edged the country up to the fourth rank in Dubai's export and re-export destinations, after Iran, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, confirmed Director General of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee. — (menareport.com)
