Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, the first class full service brand of The Rezidor Hotel Group, will open a second property in the Northern Emirates.
Radisson SAS Hotel Al Qurm, Ras Al-Khaimah will be a city centre hotel targeting corporate, government and tourist segments. Adjacent to the golf course and overlooking the mangrove, the five-star property will have a private beach front. The hotel will have 269 guest rooms, four specialty restaurants, a breakfast café, a lobby café, a banqueting hall, a nightclub and a spa and fitness area and is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2009.
Jean-Marc Busato, Area Vice President of The Rezidor Hotel Group commented, “Ras Al-Khaimah has made major upgrades to its airport and road networks and is said to be one of the UAE’s strongest emerging tourism spots with its focus to attract sustainable tourism due to its unspoiled nature and stunning scenery’s.”

Rezidor also announced that it will manage a beach resort in Fujairah, the Radisson Al Aqah Beach Resort, totaling its portfolio to six hotels. It currently has two properties in Dubai and one beach resort in the emirate of Sharjah. In 2008, the UAE will also see the opening of the Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina.
