Canada’s Ritchie Bros. Industrial Auctioneers recently announced the completion of a three-day auction of used industrial equipment at the company's facility in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The unreserved auction, conducted from March 11-13, generated gross sales of more than $24 million, confirmed a company press release.

Attendees from around the world were invited to bid on 2,249 items. "This region is very up beat with many large ongoing and upcoming projects and for that reason, we believe the demand for good, used equipment is high,” commented Regional Manager for Ritchie Bros. Stephen Branch.

“The combination of being conveniently located in Dubai and having a large number of unused and used late model trucks and equipment up for auction, allowed us to attract a large amount of foreign participation," Branch added

Ritchie Bros. is an auctioneer of industrial equipment, operating in over 90 locations throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Middle East. The Company sells, through unreserved public auctions, industrial equipment utilized in the construction, transportation, mining, forestry, petroleum and agricultural industries.

There are 28 upcoming auctions on Ritchie Bros.’ auction calendar, including two, three-day auctions to occur in late March at the Company's facilities in the United States and the Netherlands. — (menareport.com)
