Royal Jordanian, Iraq Airways in talks

Officials from the Royal Jordanian, (RJ) and the Iraq Airways discussed in a meeting on Wednesday, scopes of cooperation between the two airlines in light of the difficult conditions facing the air transport sector in Iraq. 

 

During the meeting, which comes within the RJ's policy to promote regional cooperation with all Arab airlines, the two sides also reviewed challenges facing the Iraqi air transport sector.  

 

According to Petra, talks also covered possibilities 

of operating flights on specific airlines to link Baghdad with the outside world in the next stage especially after the transfer of powers to the Iraqis on June 30. 

 

Both sides also agree to put a proposed formula for joint operation with a view to deal with requirements of the Iraqi air transport market, and facilitate movements from and to Iraq. (menareport.com)
