The South African Marine Corporation (Safmarine) has opened a sales and customer service office in Amman, Jordan. A sales team from a local company that previously held the Safmarine agency appointment in the Kingdom will manage the new branch.
Safmarine's liner shipping services in the Middle East region currently maintains routes to Europe, Indian Ocean Islands, East Africa, Southern Africa, East Coast South America and West Africa
Safmarine, which is a separately-managed member of the Danish AP Moller Group, markets its liner shipping services independently from those of sister-company Maersk Sealand. A fleet of some 40 owned and chartered ships transport a diverse range of commodities in excess of 600 000 twenty foot equivalent units (teu) annually. — (menareport.com)
