Santé, the French mineral water major and its exclusive UAE distributor Mostafa Bin Abdullatif Group (MBAL) have joined hands with Emarat and DATEL, in a unique fund raising campaign during the holy month of Ramadan. The funds raised through this initiative will go towards "Just a Drop," a charity promoted by Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), which aims to provide clean water for needy children around the globe.

As part of the campaign, which will run during the entire month of Ramadan, Santé still and sparkling water and dates will be offered to those frequenting any of the 64 Emarat full service stations in the UAE during Iftar. In addition, a substantial part of all the proceeds from the sale of Santé at all these Emarat outlets during the month will be donated to "Just a Drop" charity.

MBAL, the exclusive distributor of Santé in the UAE, will use their nation-wide distribution network to deliver Santé mineral water bottles to the 64 Emarat full service service stations across the UAE participating in this initiative. DATEL, which is aligned with the IT vision of Dubai and committed to recruitment, training and development of UAE nationals, is supporting this initiative to reach out to the local community as well as contribute to a global charity.

Elaborating on the campaign, Rajesh Arab, Chief Executive Officer, FBWC Marketing, which is bringing Santé to the region and to the sub-continent, said that the campaign blended well in the present Ramadan spirit of caring and sharing.

“Through this campaign we hope to raise the awareness of ‘Just a Drop’ charity to a large segment of socially conscious people of the country, and what better time than the holy month of Ramadan! We urge patrons of Emarat to come forward and contribute to this noble cause.”

Santé - which in French means 'health' and 'good cheer' - is bottled at source at the St Léger, Ste-Sophie & Aurèle springs in the heart of the French countryside and is available in leading hotels and retail outlets across the UAE.

Tom Nutley, a 'Just a Drop' Trustee, & RTE's Chairman, said: “Next time you turn on the tap just remember that 1.4 billion children have no clean water close to their homes and every 10 seconds somewhere in the world a child dies because of dirty water.”

“The success of initiatives such as ‘Just a Drop’ is dependent on the patronage that it receives from the corporate and business sectors as well as the general public. We are therefore extremely honored to associate with Santé for the second time in a few months in raising both awareness and funds about ‘Just a Drop’ and would also like to welcome Emarat, MBAL Group and DATEL onto the ‘Just a Drop’ platform. All the money that will be raised through this initiative will go straight to the work of the appeal.

"We wish to develop ‘Just a Drop’ into a worldwide travel and tourism charity and we are pleased to have Santé, MBAL, DATEL and Emarat’s support in raising money and awareness in this region.” (menareport.com)
