Saudi egg and poultry producer Radwa has completed the roll-out of a communications and enterprise resource planning infrastructure based on PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne, formerly JD Edwards OneWorld XE.

The new infrastructure at Radwa, using inventory and manufacturing software from PeopleSoft, enables the company to track sales performance, assess current stock levels and respond in real time to immediate market demand.

Industry studies show that managing returns represents as much as 10-15 percent of the average food production company's operating costs, a cost that Radwa will be able to radically reduce with the new software.

Additionally, Radwa sales representatives traveling in the Kingdom can now access the system through hand-held cell devices, enabling them to make requests, check inventory and reroute orders according to the needs of customers whilst on the road.

The new solution was implemented by Jeddah-based BT Applied Technologies. As part of its company's support for the PeopleSoft solution, BT Applied Technologies will provide ongoing training for Radwa employees, functional and technical support for the new internal infrastructure and will assist with network operations. — (menareport.com)
