Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC), the leading Middle East and international manufacturer of air conditioning systems, was awarded a SR 31 million (US$ 8.3 million) contract by the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia.

ZAC’s scope of work includes the manufacture and supply of 9,300 room air conditioners and 5,757 mini-split units to various girls’ schools across the Kingdom. Delivery will begin immediately and is expected to be completed within a period of five months.

“We have maintained over the years, excellent relations with the government sector and the Ministry of Education in particular which has been a key ally supporting local industry. We have set up a department dedicated to service the needs and requirements of local government”, said Mansoor Al-Saadoon, Central Region Manager & Government Sales, ZAC Riyadh.

This project is part of a major initiative launched by the government to expand the schooling infrastructure and improve existing facilities. These units will replace old ones existing at different locations in Saudi Arabia.
