Saudi based Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) today signed a 3-year contract worth EUR50 million with Saudi Binladin Group, the main contractor of Dakar International Airport in Senegal, to supply steel, aluminum, marble, granite and decoration wood.
"This is the first contract signed by CPC outside the Middle East. The move marks the company’s regional expansion strategy, starting with the supply of high quality construction material, manufactured in CPC’s specialized production facilities in Riyadh and Jeddah, to meet the growing demand from contraction market in Saudi Arabia and abroad." commented Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Secretary, Board of Directors and the Spokesman from the CPC.
"Since the time CPC started operations, the company’s foremost objective has been to provide superior construction products in Saudi Arabia and beyond. Our efforts and foresighted strategic plans to take advantage of the urban expansion in the Kingdom and neighboring countries have proven correct." Dr. Alaquil added.
In line with company’s regional expansion plans and in view of the current boom of the Syrian construction sector, CPC has allocated SR640 million (US$170 million) for the purchase of a 265,000 square metres of land in Adra Industrial Zone, where an industrial complex is presently under construction to address demand of construction material in Syria.
Consolidating its presence in the region, CPC has complemented a manufacturing hub to its industrial network in Abu Dhabi in partnership with Arkan Company in UAE. CPC-Arkan synergy will initially establish six specialized factories worth SR750 million (US$200 million), and will meet a substantial demand of construction products in the GCC markets.
