A Saudi expert is upbeat regarding the projected growth of the national economy in 2006. Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Daghestani, the head of the Saudi Research and Economy Department, told KUNA it was hard to make projections regarding the surplus in the new budget. According to him, fresh banking reports are forecasting that the surplus on the new budget would exceed 200 billion riyals (US$53.33 billion dollars).
