Saudi Arabia imported $293 million worth of merchandise from Pakistan from July 2001 to May 2002, a 21 percent increase compared to $52 million during the same period in the previous year, reported the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
The Kingdom’s garment increase from Pakistan increased by 41 percent, followed by bedsheets at 24 percent during the 11-month period. Other items that experienced a rise included fabrics, towels, fruits and vegetables, sports goods, footwear, gloves, hosiery, fish, spices and surgical items. — (menareport.com)
