Saudi Telecom launched the implementation of its new corporate strategy, under the name of FORWARD. This 3-4 year strategy consists of seven main priorities, where each of the seven letters corresponds to one of the strategic priorities:

2. Offer Wholesale Services
3. Re-invent Home Communications
4. Win Enterprise Customers
5. Achieve External Growth
6. Re-organize Internal Structure
7. Derive Operational Efficiencies
Engineer Saud Bin Majed al-Daweesh, President of Saudi Telecom, stressed on this matter, adding: as the leading integrated telecom operator in Saudi Arabia, and as the largest operator in terms of revenues in the Middle East region, we always consider three main factors in setting our strategic direction: customer needs, industry and technology trends, and competition development. Saudi Telecom has anticipated well in advance the challenges raised by market liberalization and increasing competition and has been focusing on strengthening its competitive posture. In this context, the first five strategic priorities aim to sustain our revenue growth, while the last two aim to further improve our cost efficiency.
He concluded that the future of the telecom industry in Saudi Arabia is very promising, and STC is well positioned to take on the leading role in driving growth within the sector and widening the horizons of our customers while respecting their values and traditions and ensuring their business success.
