Norway oil and gas group "Statoil" will open its office in Algiers on 27 September, the firm has indicated. Statoil, which has recently taken control of 50 per cent of BP's holding in Algeria's In Amenas gas condensate field collaborates with state oil company Sonatrach over both In Salah and In Amenas.
Deliveries In Salah gas field in the Sahara desert began in July 2004. It is operated by Statoil, BP and Sonatrach. (menareport.com)
