Stock investors in the UAE make big gains

Stock investors in the UAE became richer by $150 billion in 2005 as an increase in share prices and the entry of new companies lifted its bourse by about three times and allowed it to record the highest market growth in the Arab world this year.


According to WAM, figures by the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), which tracks the official stock markets in 14 Arab states, indicated the UAE bourse jumped to an all time high of $241 billion Wednesday to become the second largest Arab bourse after Saudi Arabia.
