Finland's Stonesoft Corporation has launched StoneGate IPS in the Middle East, offering businesses in the region the ability to detect unauthorized access to their network systems and cut down on the number of “false alarms” generated in data reports.

Intrusion detection and response systems play a vital role in protecting companies’ networks, alerting IT managers to outside infringements of their systems and unauthorized “hacking” activity.

Stonesoft, which recently established a physical presence in the region with the opening of its office at Dubai Internet City, expects its StoneGate IPS product to be adopted widely by enterprise-level IT directors who are looking for a simple approach to securing their networks.

StoneGate IPS can be implemented as a stand-alone product or as part of the StoneGate Security Platform, which delivers seamless integration with the StoneGate MultiLayer Firewall and StoneGate MultiLink VPN. These security components are administered through a single management console and share inter-system communications and unified concepts for optimum security and administrative efficiency.

Stonesoft is focused on enterprise-level network protection and business continuity assurance. Founded in 1990, the company has international headquarters in Helsinki, Finland; Americas headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia; and Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore. — (menareport.com)
