According to <i>Alahli</i> newspaper, the Iraqi health control department has conducted an extensive campaign to check the quality of food supplies and drinks available in the Iraqi market. An official source at the department said results of the tests showed that in most cases the quality was reasonable. In one case, beverages imported from Jordan included some bacteria and thus they were destroyed.
In a related development, health control teams had carried out test campaigns in Babel province. The campaign has discovered 818 kg of inedible food products and 164 liters of drinks that were inedible. All of them were destroyed.
