Switzerland’s new inter-continental airline, SWISS, has announced it will operate a total of 31 weekly flights from the Middle East region. The airline recently held a meeting for senior sales and marketing managers from across the region, focusing on regional marketing and sales strategies for 2002.
“A new marketing and sales program will be rolled out across the Middle East in coming months,” said SWISS’ Sales and Marketing Manager for the Middle East and Asia Werner, Rohrer. “We are already flying to eight destinations in six Middle East countries,” he added.
SWISS’ Middle East destinations include daily flights from Dubai, six weekly flights from Cairo, four weekly flights from Karachi, three weekly flights from Riyadh, Muscat, Tehran and Abu Dhabi and two weekly flights from Jeddah, confirmed an airline press release.
SWISS will be officially inaugurated with the publication of the summer timetable on March 31. The new airline will have a proposed total fleet of 128 planes operating to 122 destinations in 60 countries. — (menareport.com)
