Syria: 10 million citrus trees

Syria produces one of the highest amounts of citrus in the Mediterranean and its trees are distinguished by being free from pesticides and chemicals effect, SANA reported on Friday.

 

Citrus planting is an important economic source in the Syrian coast and spreads on about 28,500 hectares including 10 million fruitful trees which produce 34 tons per hectare, the report noted.
