Syria's Tourism Minister Saadulllah Agha al-Qalaa on Sunday conferred with an Egyptian delegation, led by Muhammad Shata, the Chairman of the Board of the Tourist International Group in Egypt and discussed means of cooperation between the ministry and the Group.
Al-Qalaa talked about tourism in Syria, stressing that the number of incoming tourists to Syria increased between the 2000 to 2004 by 18% annually, overnight stay-tourists increased by 13 % and hotel residents by 8.5 %. (menareport.com)
